ECB triggers its inflation forecast for 2022 for the Eurozone to 8.1%

The European Central Bank (ECB) has revised upwards its forecast for inflation in the Eurozone for this year to 8.1%, 1.3 points above the previous one, as well as the from 2023, up to 5.5% (two points more) and 2024, up to 2.3% (two tenths more).

After the meeting of the Governing Council, the ECB has also reported that it is lowering its economic growth forecasts for the Eurozone for 2023, to 0.9% (1.2 points less than in its previous estimate), and 2024, to 1.9% (0.2 points less), but it has raised that of 2022 to 3.1% (three tenths more).
