The development of the Elden Ring is nearing completion. FromSoftware’s video game, one of the most anticipated works in the sector for next year 2022, will arrive next January 21st for PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series, PS5 and PC. No delays are expected. Yasuhiro Kitao, a member of the communication team of the Japanese study, said in a meeting with Famitsu (via Reddit) that development is proceeding at the expected pace for its premiere on the scheduled date.
“We are in the final stages of development, and we are advancing calmly,” he assures, which suggests that there will be no accentuated episodes of uncertainty in the face of a possible run-over with the dates. Before launching, Elden Ring will have to undergo a severe testing phase and reach the phase gold; at which point the approval process will begin on PlayStation, Xbox and Steam for sale to the public, in addition to the physical distribution of the copies to the main markets.
Although it was never officially confirmed, journalistic sources say that the launch of Elden Ring was scheduled for before 2021; however, the COVID-19 pandemic precipitated a change of plans and slowed progress in this complex development, which is known to be the most ambitious at the scale level within the Japanese study, this time with Hidetaka Miyazaki back at the controls.
