FromSoftware’s new production continues to take shape as its release date approaches. Elden Ring, directed by Hidetaka Miyazaki, will not give up the difficulty and will follow the line of other titles of its own such as Dark Souls, Bloodborne or the recent Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. In an interview with JagatPlay, the studio’s Yashuhiro Kitao confirmed that tutorials have been implemented in the game, which will allow players to learn the playable fundamentals of the video game.
These tutorials are similar to the ones the team designed for Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, although this time users will be able to reread all these tips. “Although we do not know if this system was well received or not in Sekiro, we found characteristics such as the fairly effective pop-up tutorials”. According to Kitao, in their previous work they managed to fulfill their mission of introducing players to the different mechanics. “We wanted to bring those elements back to Elden Ring and entrust the pop-up tutorials with images and text.”
This time they will be accessible again
As we said, in their previous work it was impossible to access them again, something that they have perfected in their next work. “We are going to bring together these tutorials in objects that users will be able to access so that they can reread them whenever they want ”. Anyway, the developer hasn’t specified exactly how it will work.
Elden Ring will go on sale next January 21st on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC. Recently, FromSoftware confirmed that George RR Martin, the author of Game of Thrones (A Song of Ice and Fire) did not write the texts of the game, but was in charge of establishing the universe and the general context. The task was carried out by Hidetaka Miyazaki himself, who has not only sat back in the director’s chair, but has also written the different phrases that we find in this dark fantasy universe.
