Elon Musk hopes Amber Heard and Johnny Depp can “move on” after the defamation trial they faced for six weeks and barely ended last Friday.
The billionaire businessman dated Amber for several months after his split from Johnny, so he has now broken his silence on his ex-girlfriend’s court case with the ‘Pirates of the Caribbean star.
Through his Twitter account, the businessman wrote: “I hope both move forward. At their best, each one is amazing.”
Tesla’s CEO made the comments in response to a tweet sent by Lex Fridman, a research scientist at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in which he described his conclusions about the trial.
“My conclusions from Johnny Depp’s trial of Amber Heard: 1. Fame is a hellish drug (for some). 2. Psychiatrists and lawyers have drastically different skill levels. 3. Lying to millions of people is something that the human being is capable of. 4. Love can be messy.”
Elon – who is in the process of trying to buy Twitter – appeared on his ex-girlfriend’s witness list; however, he did not take the stand in the courthouse in Fairfax, Virginia.
Instead, Kate Moss — who dated Johnny between 1994 and 1998 — recently appeared via video link to deny rumors that the actor pushed her down some stairs during a vacation in Jamaica.
The model, 48, testified in court that she slipped and that Johnny came to her aid.
“As I left the room, I slipped down the stairs and hurt myself in my back. And I screamed because I didn’t know what had happened to me and it hurt. He ran back to help me and took me to my room and got me medical attention.”
