Season one of HBO’s revolutionary new drama Euphoria was such a great sensation that the show was extended for season 2. The show stars Zendaya as Rue, an adolescent drug addict who meets Jules, a trans girl at their institution, and is HBO’s first big teen-centered series. It is a dark and gritty portrayal of contemporary adolescent life, and it has been a hit with HBO’s younger demographic.

So, what is on offer for Round 2 of Euphoria? Here’s what we know so far about the forthcoming season:
Release schedule of Season 2 of Euphoria
It seems like the suspense for Season 2 of Euphoria will be over before we realize it. The second installment of Euphoria will premiere on HBO on January 9, 2022. Zendaya said in 2020 that they were filming a few bridge episodes to connect seasons 1 and 2.
As per HBO President Casey Boyes, the bridge episodes would emphasize on COVID period that will depict what occurs between seasons. Season 2 is set to begin production in 2021, according to Deadline.
When will production for Season 2 begin?
The cast of Euphoria seems to be returning for the program’s second season. On May 4, Zendaya shared photographs from the set after it was revealed that the series had been nominated for a Peabody Award.
Zendaya shared photos of light technician Danny Durr, fellow co-star Angus Cloud, and another member of the crew called Alex on her Instagram story.
Are there any trailers available?
The first bridge episode has now gotten a trailer, and it provides us with the best look yet at what we may anticipate. Rue’s story will be told in “Part 1: Rue,” which will concentrate on what occurs to her after the first season ends. Rue chooses to contact her sponsor after relapsing based on what she sees, which will undoubtedly raise some issues. The program premiered on December 6 at 9 p.m. ET.

The Cast Information For Season 2?
While we do not have a lot of information about Season 2, we can expect most of the individuals from Season 1 to return. We know Zendaya and Angus will return as Rue and Fezco based on what the Euphoria Twitter feed has revealed so far. And, as Sydney was also at the table read, she will be reprising her role as Cassie.

Furthermore, we can certainly anticipate the rest of the major actors to return as well, but we will learn more as production progresses. Below is the expected cast for the upcoming season –
- Zendaya as Rue Bennett
- Hunter Schafer as Jules Vaughn
- Maude Apatow as Lexi Howard
- Angus Cloud as Fezco
- Eric Dane as Cal Jacobs
- Alexa Demie as Maddy Perez
- Colman Domingo as Ali
- Jacob Elordi as Nate Jacobs
- Barbie Ferreira as Kat Hernandez
- Nika King as Leslie Bennett
- Storm Reid as Gia Bennett
- Algee Smith as Christopher McKay
- Sydney Sweeny as Cassie Howard
The storyline of season 2 of Euphoria
There is not much definite information concerning the second season’s storyline. We know it will follow in the same tone as the first season, expanding the complicated lives of the characters who are already familiar to the viewers.
We are also expecting it to be pretty dark. Co-stars Zendaya and Jacob Elordi have both said in separate interviews that the new storyline takes Rue to some painful and unexpected areas, with Zendaya calling it “brutal” and noting that Rue needs attention since she is a wonderful character.
The huge success of the first season appears to be helping the production crew in settling even more passionately into their terrifying, sparkly image of young America. It is also worth noting that the world in which this new season is set is much different from the one in which the first season was set. It will be intriguing to watch how the program handles so many complexes and social tragedies against the background of the epidemic.
Is Labrinth Coming Back to Do the Soundtrack?
It is almost difficult to see Euphoria without falling in love with Labrinth’s lyrical themes. The music is a fantastic match for the show’s visuals. It emphasizes all of the story’s textures with complex electronic pop that reflects the perplexing experience of adolescence, which is both lavish and terrifying. It is difficult to picture the program without Labrinth, so this is a huge relief and reason to listen to “Mount Everest” again and over until the season premiere. Fortunately, Labrinth will also participate with the soundtrack for the second season.

Where can you listen to the Euphoria second-season soundtrack?
The first season’s Euphoria soundtrack was as popular as the program itself, including a lot of notable stars like Drake (literally, he is an executive producer), Beyoncé, and Billie Eilish.
If you like the music as much as the episode, there are many unofficial Spotify playlists (which you may listen to freely) and Apple Music playlists (which you will have to pay for).
You can also access much of it for free on YouTube.
Number of episodes in Season 2
Season 2 is expected to include eight episodes, just like Season 1.
Showrunners who return for Season 2
Sam Levinson, the program’s creator, will be back for season two after writing, executive producing, and directing most of the first season based on his own personal experiences. Drake, who also executive produced Season 1 of the show, will return. According to Variety, buzzy writer, Jeremy O. Harris has been promoted from consultant to co-producer on the program.
