Star Wars: Dave Filoni Confirms Second Season of Tales of the Jedi

Over the long weekend of Star Wars news, we received confirmation of new productions, panels to celebrate anniversaries, and other surprises. But one of the most highly anticipated announcements was missing: would Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi be receiving a second season? Fans can finally rejoice, as Dave Filoni announced in London during the Star Wars Celebration convention that the animated anthology series will indeed have more stories to tell.

The announcement was made during The Clone Wars panel, which makes sense, as it was at the previous convention that Tales of the Jedi was first announced. While no new details have been released, we can assume that Filoni will present more stories about Jedi, as he found the experience of creating the first season extremely fun.

What differentiates this production from others is not only its anthological nature but the fact that it is composed of shorts that feature different characters, such as Ahsoka Tano and Count Dooku, who appeared in the first season. With only six episodes, divided into “two paths,” it is an adventure that is highly recommended for Star Wars fans.

Now that we know a second season is in the works, the question arises about what this batch of episodes will tell. Will Ahsoka Tano and Count Dooku return as protagonists, or will Filoni put other Jedi in the spotlight for this anthology? Only time will tell.

Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi is just one of the many shows that Disney and Lucasfilm are cooking up to expand the Star Wars universe. News about all-new content, like Ahsoka’s sneak peek and the Skeleton Crew series, have recently been released, as well as details on The Acolyte, a new show set in the time of the High Republic.

With so many Jedi to choose from, we will soon learn who will be the main character of the new Filoni creation when Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi returns to Disney+. Stay tuned for more updates.
