Stranger Things has always been one to maintain traction among its audience, globally. The mysterious city of Hawkins, Indiana, and its bunch of enthusiastic citizens are all ready to face the newest challenge against the Demogorgon.
Season 3’s flabbergasting 77-minute finale has led everyone to ‘The Battle of Starcourt” ending, only to keep the fans wanting for more. Fans can now sit back and relax ‘cause the Netflix sci-fi horror will strike a comeback this summer to respond to all your unanswered questions.
There have been speculations regarding the Stranger Things Season 4 release date so much so that fans have deciphered a potential hint about its release date from Netflix merchandise! It’s no surprise that the anticipation surrounding this new season is at its peak. Did Netflix and the Duffer Brothers really drop a hint through the box of Cheerios included in the Netflix Stranger Things merchandise!? It was neither the inverted Cheerios logo with the Demogorgon’s four-petaled face imprint nor the images of Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown (and Max (Sadie Sink) on the cereal box that caught the attention of the fans but the expiration date on the Cheerios box that read “Best if used by 06JUL2022JF”.
This, along with the transient revelation of the Season 4 release date by the Georgia Tour Company back in November, is what is causing the buzz. Fans are not unaware of the availability of the Season 4 teasers that have dropped on the sixth day of other months till now. With the filming schedule wrapped up, the release date doesn’t seem too unbelievable. However, the unusual scenario of releasing a Netflix series on a Wednesday (6th July 2022) is making fans reconsider this speculated date.
Producer Shawn Levy’s assurance that Season 4 might be taking a little bit more time but it’s ‘worth the wait and the bubbling cast including fan-favorites – Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown), Max (Sadie Sink), Steve (Joe Keery), Nancy (Natalia Dyer), Mike (Finn Wolfhard), Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo), Will (Noah Schnapp), Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin), Jonathan (Charlie Heaton), Joyce (Winona Ryder) and Robin (Maya Hawke) have increased excitement levels amongst fans, manifold.
Fans are still speculating about the return of Hopper (David Harbour) especially after the tragic end to Season 3, but in an interview conducted by Entertainment Weekly, Harbour has disclosed that Hopper might be back with a new persona. Apart from the old faces, fans can expect a few new faces in Season 4 including known faces from The CW’s Black Lightning and Netflix’s Anne with an E.
“We’re not in Hawkins anymore”. – The teaser for Season 4 concludes with this cryptic message. Where is the plotline heading to – this is the question creating ripples in the minds of the fans. The mystifying teasers that were released all throughout 2021 show a flashback scene with Eleven at Hawkins National Laboratory, while in another teaser, Hopper’s unexpected return by escaping Russian captivity is portrayed. Yet another teaser features ‘Creel House’ which is a “super important location”, while another teaser portrays Eleven and Will struggling to settle into their new way of life in California after having left Hawkins in Season 3.
The cast members have time and again applauded the creativity stunts pulled by the Duffer brothers. Every time, the makers blow them off with their spot-on picturization and creativity. This time also, it is no different. Both Joe Keery (Steve Harrington) and Natalie Dyer (Nancy) have shown tremendous excitement regarding the upcoming season that will supposedly be the “scariest season yet”.

Nevertheless, fans can still expect the release date by Feb-March, 2022 along with its first trailer by April-May, 2022. But for now, all they can do is wait or maybe re-watch Seasons 1-3 that are currently streaming on Netflix.
