Spanish athletes Fátima Gálvez and Alberto Fernández have achieved the first gold medal for their country’s team at the Olympic Games. of Tokyo, taking the victory in the final of the mixed shooting competitions against the San Marino couple Alessandra Perilli and Gian Marco Berti.

The first Olympic gold for the Spanish team is joined by the two silver medals, achieved by Adriana Cerezo in taekwondo and Maialen Chourraut in whitewater, and the bronze medal by mountain biker David Valero.
