Final Fantasy’s spin-off racing game Chocobo GP’s release date has been announced. It was also announced that alongside the release date of the Chocobo GP, the game will have a free version.
According to Nintendo of America’s Twitter account, Chocobo GP will be released exclusively for Nintendo Switch on March 10, 2022. In addition to the announcement, Square Enix also released the trailer for the game.
Chocobo GP will bring with it a number of different modes. Players will progress through the game’s story mode to unlock new characters to use throughout the game. Chocobo GP will include the “Series Race” where players compete on four different tracks, the “Time Attack” where players compete with the ghosts of other players, and the “Chocobo GP” mode, where 64 different players can compete. The game will also have the Custom Race option, a game mode where you can customize the races.
Square Enix will also offer Chocobo GP Lite, the free-to-play version of the game. In this version with a limited number of characters, players will be able to play the entrance of the story mode and online modes (the person who installed the server will have to own the game) for free.
