Streets of Rage 4 developer Dotemu, Vampyr has been acquired by Focus Home Interactive, publisher of A Plague Tale: Innocence.
In a press release issued by Focus Home, it was announced that the company has signed a contract to acquire 77.5% of Dotemu’s capital. The Paris-based studio is known for developing a number of retro-style games, including Streets of Rage 4 and a remastered version of Windjammers.
Focus Home’s CEO, Christopher Nobileau, talked about the positive impact Dotemu’s joining the family has had on Focus Home. “Dotemu’s addition to the family plays an important role in accelerating the growth of the team and diversifying its expertise. By enriching our developer pipeline, we are opening up new market shares to conquer this fast-growing industry.”
Focus Home can make big profits by purchasing Dotemu. The Paris-based team, which achieved a turnover of 17.2 million dollars in 2020, announced that they had big plans for the future.
