Former Tango Gameworks developer Ikumi Nakamura is working on Gungrave’s sequel

Gungrave GORE’s publishing studio, Koch Media, released a new gameplay video of the game during Tokyo Game Show 2021 and announced that Ikumi Nakamura was involved in the development of the game.

While the first half of the trailer brings us the cinematic scenes of the Gungrave series, the second half shows the weapon and sword mechanics of the game.

Gungrave GORE is the latest game in the “Grave” series of 3D action games. The series centers around Grave, a former mob member who is brought back to life by a surgical procedure after his death. Grave, who gained a stronger body in exchange for losing his memory, was reborn with superhuman abilities.

The trailer shows Grave launching stylish attacks on his enemies. As seen in the trailer, Grave will be able to kick enemies as well as weapon and sword combinations.

Ikumi Nakamura is involved in the production of the game

Publisher Koch Media has previously worked at Tango Gameworks on The Evil Within and Ghostwire: Tokyo during the game’s development process. Ikumi Nakamuraannounced the presence of Nakamura’s role in Gungrave GORE has not yet been announced, but the studio will make detailed statements about it in the future.

Nakamura said, “The Gungrave GORE collaboration has been a very valuable experience for me. I played the original Gungrave, so being involved in this production brought back many precious memories for me. You can expect more updates and new announcements about the game in the coming days!” made his statements.

Gungrave GORE is in development by Iggymob for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
