At around 00:00 CET on Friday, November 12, 2021, in one of the channels of the private NiteStats server, focused on datamining and Fortnite leaks, a change was detected in one of the game’s character strings. Specifically, “Set_01” changed its name to “Phoenix Force“.
We are convinced that this refers precisely to the cosmic entity of the same name in many of Marvel’s X-Men stories. It is an immutable and indestructible force; a manifestation of life itself. This primal force can corrupt one or more individuals; Jean Gray of the X-Men has “been” Phoenix in one of the most popular story arcs of the Patrol x.
We do not know if the Jean Gray / Fénix skin from Fortnite is currently in the game files, or if it will be included with patch 18.40, like Naruto, Sasuke, Kakashi and Sakura from Naruto shippuden.
Considering that “Phoenix Force” is the name of a set in Fortnite, there is also the possibility, although very remote, that this category can include other Marvel characters such as Cyclops, Colossus, Namor, Emma Frost and Magik; the essence of Phoenix was divided into five fragments that corrupted these characters, as we could see in Avengers vs. X-Men #5.
