One of the main novelties of the patch 17.20 from Fortnite Battle Royale, which arrived in the game on Tuesday, July 20, 2021, is the new system of automatic management of Inventory called preferred object spaces. This new feature saves us a lot of headaches by pre-scheduling items we collect will automatically be added to player-designated inventory slots. We tell you everything we know about this new function from Season 7 of Battle Pass from Fortnite Chapter 2, and we show you how does it work:
Fortnite: how the new inventory preferred item slot system works
After the arrival of Fortnite Battle Royale patch 17.20, we can configure the automatic inventory management with the preferred object spaces to our liking. For it, we have to go to Settings, Y, within this general menu, we go to the Game tab. In this section, we go down to where it says “Combat”.
And we click on “Configure”, We will go to, worth the redundancy, the configuration of this new Fortnite option.
Once here we have a menu that allows us to designate certain types of weapons / objects to each specific inventory slot. There is no “better” or “worse” setting, everything will depend on our tastes, and our style of play.
The complete list of weapon and item families that we can configure to automatically go to the designated inventory slot is as follows:
- Assault rifle
- Shotgun
- Submachine gun
- Gun
- Sniper Rifle / Bow
- Pitcher
- Utility
- Consumable item
Given these options, we configure automatic inventory management at will to be more efficient in the games. This option allows us to waste less time reorganizing our inventory, Y considerably reduces errors made by the players when picking up objects from the ground and / or changing weapons / objects in stressful situations.
