The French Agriculture Ministry announced on Wednesday that it would strengthen prevention measures after new cases of bird flu were detected on farms in the western Brittany and Pays de la Loire regions.
According to the ministry, 17 cases of bird flu had been detected in both regions as of Friday, so more controls were put in place and farms ordered to keep their birds indoors while tests for the virus are carried out. .
