Franklin is back! Rockstar announces the Contract, a new story for GTA Online

Have passed eight years since the release of Grand Theft Auto V (2013), but the story of Franklin not finished yet. Rockstar Games just announced that the character will dive into a new adventure from next December 15, 2021, although this time it will The Contract, the next GTA Online update in which we will meet more than one familiar face and enjoy new Dr. Dre themes made specifically for the game.

As you can see in the trailer on these lines, GTA Online: The Contract it is set several years after GTA V. Franklin has thrived and started his own business, a “celebrity solutions agency” whose services are as murky as they seem. To bring the agency to fruition, Franklin will do pineapple with Lamar Davis and his own Dr. Dre. The famous rapper had collaborated in the past with the saga, for which he had released Some songs (and in which it was even parodied by CJ in San Andreas), but this time he will have his own character and in fact the story will revolve around him.

According to Rockstar’s initial synopsis, Dr. Dre has had the new songs he was composing stolen from him and will commission Franklin’s agency to retrieve them. It is the most important contract they have received so far and they have no intention of spoiling it, so they will undertake “a wild and hilarious trip through Los Santos that will take you from the streets of old Franklin to the hottest parties in town, and from libertine mansions to the FBI offices“. What happened to GTA: The Trilogy?
