More data volume with Freenet Flex: Two of the three tariff options get an additional 2 GB at no extra cost. For ten euros a month there will be 7 instead of 5 GB of data volume, for 15 euros there will be 12 instead of 10 GB. 20 GB of data volume still costs 20 euros.
Freenet Flex is a mobile phone tariff that is controlled exclusively via the associated app. This is similar to the concept of “Fraenk” from Deutsche Telekom. Flex users can choose one of the three different tariff options each month.
With Freenet Flex you can surf the Vodafone LTE network. With the 7 GB tariff, the speed is 21.6 Mbit / s in the download and 3.6 Mbit / s in the upload. If you choose one of the two more expensive options, you can surf at download speeds of up to 50 Mbit / s.
No WiFi calling
In addition to the data volume, all three tariff options also include a flat-rate telephony and SMS, but lack VoLTE and WLAN calling. After the data volume has been used up, the speed is reduced to 64 Kbit / s. EU roaming is also part of the package.
The individual tariffs have a term of one month and can be canceled up to one day before the end of the term. It is also possible to switch between the three tariff options within this period. There is no way to re-book data volume within a month. The app is available for download in the stores for Android and iOS.
A PayPal account is required to use Freenet Flex; the app does not accept alternative payment options. Since there is no eSIM option, users also have to have a SIM card sent to them. Number portability is possible with a few exceptions. In addition to the monthly payments, Freenet charges a one-time setup fee of 10 euros. The Freenet Flex tariff is operated by Klarmobil.
