Cannes Film Festival: Feathers, Transparencies, and Impressive Jewels at the AmfAR Charity Gala
The Cannes Film Festival is known for its glamourous red carpet premieres and exclusive events. However, on Friday, the stars walked the blue carpet at the AmfAR gala for a good cause – the fight against AIDS.
The AmfAR gala is considered one of the most important charity parties of the year, and the grand event took place at the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc. The celebrities dared to show their most daring looks, with models like Isabeli Fontana and Alek Wek monopolizing the attention with their stunning outfits.
Supermodel Heidi Klum was also lively during the event, taking on the role of auctioning some of the objects donated by the stars.
Among the guests were Eva Longoria, Kate Beckinsale, and James Marsden, who opted for more classic looks. However, other stars, like Halsey and Brazilian model Izabel Goulart, chose dresses with transparencies that were sure to turn heads.
The Argentine model, Georgina Rodríguez, wore an important diamond necklace with a large central ruby, while the Portuguese model Sara Sampaio stunned in an aquamarine dress that was one of the most praised of the day.
Aside from the gala, the festival also saw the premiere of Ken Loach’s new film, “The Old Oak,” which tells the story of a town in the northeast of England that abandoned its last pub when the mines that gave them employment closed.
Stars like Eva Longoria and Andie MacDowell didn’t want to miss the premiere of the film.
In summary, the 2021 AmfAR charity gala was a night filled with glamour, extravagance, and philanthropy. The stars shone bright at the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc, auctioned off their prized possessions for charity, and turned heads with their stunning outfits.
