Fixed salary or freelancer?
In general, IT salaries grew solidly in 2020. But compared to previous years, the plus was lower. And there are still some big differences in pay, which are determined by different factors. Work experience comes first, but training or studies as well as the region also have an impact on salary. In addition, women earn less on average than their male colleagues. A permanent job and even an above-average salary do not satisfy every IT employee. This is where the switch to freelance beckons, with potentially higher hourly rates, flexible working hours and, in general, independence from unpleasant projects and superiors. Security in the team
