Rumor has it that there is tension between Vin Diesel and Jason Momoa on the set of Fast and Furious 10. In addition to the movie not being very well received by critics, the only praise that was directed towards the film was for the villain played by Momoa. Vin Diesel, who is the producer and star of the franchise, is allegedly jealous of the acclaim that Momoa has received.
Momoa rose to fame for his role as Khal Drogo in Game of Thrones and later became a star by bringing Aquaman to life in the DC cinematic universe. In Fast and Furious 10, Momoa plays Dante Reyes, son of mafia leader Hernan Reyes, who was assassinated by Dominic Toretto (Diesel) and Brian O’Conner (Paul Walker) in Fast and Furious 5. The character was pointed out as the best (if not the only good thing) of the film.
According to information from RadarOnline (via Comic Book Resources), Diesel believes Momoa was overacting and stealing scenes from his character. He has been complaining to half the world, something that Momoa has found out. Diesel allegedly thinks that Momoa is stealing the spotlight away from him and is embarrassed that Momoa is being cast as the only bright spot in the film.
Sadly, this wouldn’t be the franchise’s leading man’s first fight with another actor. His public dispute with Dwayne Johnson, in charge of playing Luke Hobbs, is also well-known. However, that conflict finally ended this year, and fans found out when they found out that Johnson appears in Fast & Furious 10. Recently, it was also confirmed that the character of Hobbs will have a new spin-off.
