Actress Gal Gadot is very open to a potential Wonder Woman 3 to give Diana closure, as long as Patty Jenkins has a good story for it.
Gal Gadot is very open to a Wonder woman 3As long as Patty Jenkins has a good story. Gadot first took on the role of Diana Prince, also known as Wonder Woman, in 2016’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and quickly became one of the DCEU’s greatest heroes. So far she has starred in two solo films, with the second, Wonder Woman 1984, debuting in just two days in US theaters and on HBO Max. This time, Diana will be in the midst of a lonely life in Washington DC when new threats emerge in the forms of Maxwell Lord (Pedro Pascal) and Barbara Minerva, aka Cheetah (Kristen Wiig).
Wonder Woman 1984 hasn’t even been released for everyone, but audiences are already waiting for Wonder Woman 3. The movie hasn’t been officially approved by Warner Bros., but many assume it’s already a done deal because of the former. The success of Wonder Woman. Director Patty Jenkins has said she has ideas for the Wonder Woman 3 story, though if she does return, it won’t be until after her Star Wars Rogue Squadron movie.
Gadot was asked about when she begins filming Wonder Woman 3 in a new interview with Variety, prompting her to reiterate the fact that it is not entirely official. “I do not know. We don’t talk about it yet. We have no idea. You never know, ”Gadot said of whether or not it’s happening. However, if Warner Bros. chooses to give Wonder Woman 3 a thumbs up, Gadot will happily don the gold bow once more. “I would love to do another if the story is great and with Patty, of course. But I do not know. We’ll have to wait and see, ”Gadot said.
Gadot would certainly like to see Wonder Woman 3 come to fruition, particularly as it could put a “nice close.” Trilogies are popular formats for superhero movies these days (the MCU is full of them), and it would be nice to see Diana have one last adventure. Wonder Woman 1984 might be the latest outing for Gadot’s hero (though that seems unlikely), but if it is, it may not give fans closure. Wonder Woman 1984 has not been marketed as a final film, so no one is prepared to say goodbye to Diana.
Gadot has shared her interest in Wonder Woman 3 being set in the present, which would offer a good way to finish off Diana’s story. All of his previous solo movies have been set in the past, so if a third movie is really going to be the end, to bring closure, then he should jump to today. As Gadot said, fans will have to wait and see if Wonder woman 3 ever happens. However, if Wonder Woman 1984 resonates with audiences and Jenkins agrees to return, hope the iconic hero gets another big-screen adventure.
