Operación Triunfo Returns for 2023
The popular talent show, Operación Triunfo, is set to make a return at the end of 2023, this time on the Prime Video platform. The show has incorporated new features into its dynamics while retaining some of the key elements that made it famous. Let’s take a look at what we know so far about the upcoming edition.
Chenoa Takes Over as Presenter
22 years after competing on the show, singer Chenoa returns to Operación Triunfo as the master of ceremonies. She will be taking over from Roberto Leal, who presented the last three editions of the show. Chenoa is thrilled to have this responsibility and sees it as a natural step in pursuing her love for art.
Veteran ‘Teachers’ Return
Some of the most popular and loved faces from the show’s past will be returning as teachers. Noemí Galera will be responsible for the castings and will also be the director of the Academy. Manu Guix will serve as the musical director, Mamen Márquez as the vocal coach, and Vicky Gómez as the choreographer. Additional teachers for subjects such as interpretation and musical culture will be announced soon.
‘Gala 0’ Specials
Before the contest officially begins, two ‘Gala 0’ programs will air, featuring the 18 casting finalists and eliminations. It will be an opportunity for the contestants to interact with the audience and say goodbye to eliminated members.
Each of the 90-minute galas will get straight to the point without any unnecessary fluff, according to Tinet Rubira. Along with the post-gala, there will also be a daily summary program featuring live commentators and exclusive footage. For fans who cannot wait to get their hands on the latest news, there will be a 24-hour channel available on YouTube.
New Scenarios and Open Castings
The expulsion process will remain the same, but there will be a new and innovative setup for the event. The Academy, where the contestants stay, will also undergo major refurbishment and renovation. The show will host open castings across Spain throughout the summer, with the first starting on July 3 in Barcelona. Participants can also upload an a cappella cover to their public profiles for a chance to win a VIP pass. Anyone over age 18 is eligible to participate.
Operación Triunfo promises to be an exciting event for fans, with new features and surprises in store. Stay tuned for more updates as the show approaches.
