Recently Gibson launched an application to play the guitar called Gibson App, developed by Stockholm-based music technology company Zoundio, which offers “two-way, interactive and immersive guitar learning.”
This apprenticeship includes step-by-step guided lessons for acoustic and electric guitar in multiple genres and styles; tutorials to learn hundreds of songs; access to interviews with Gibson artists and television shows such as Icons, Riff Lords and The Collection; a virtual tuner and more.
Furthermore, it was revealed that the app uses Audio Augmented Reality (AR), a tool that can hear the user playing and provide feedback in real time.
“There has never been a better time to learn guitar or improve your skills with all the amazing tools out there, but it can still be confusing and a bit intimidating. […] So we set out to create the Gibson experience, focused on real insights, innovation, and simple intuition, all delivered through the new app. ” said Argentine César Gueikian, one of the company’s directors.
The Gibson app is now available for iOS and Android.
