Gonzalo Cañete, appointed CEO of PreZero in Spain and Portugal

Gonzalo Cañete has been appointed CEO of PreZero on Spain and Portugal replacing Fidel López Soria in office. The appointment became effective on December 1, after the closing of the purchase and sale operation of 100% of the shares of Cespa S.A. and all its subsidiaries, that is, the environmental services business unit of Ferrovial in Spain and Portugal, to PreZero.

Since 2019 and to date, Gonzalo Cañete has held the position of Regional Director of Madrid, Castilla-La Mancha, the Canary Islands and Portugal. He joined Ferrovial Servicios in 2004 where he has developed his professional career in different management positions in the field of the environment, transport and airport infrastructures.

In 2011 he became CEO of FerroNATS until in 2016 he was appointed Executive Vice-President Infrastructure at Ferrovial Services North America. He is a Public Works Engineer in Transport and Urban Services from the Polytechnic University of Madrid and completed his training with a General Management Program (PDG) by the IESE Business School, as well as with other management programs developed at IE Business School and ESADE.
