Christmas, nougat and best games of the year. The tradition is not broken and in this 2021 MeriStation has already chosen the title preferred by the editors and collaborators of the magazine, nothing more and nothing less than It Takes Two, the also winner of The Game Awards 2021. On these important dates, it is a good time to look back and see which video games were worthy of our particular award.
With a few months to go before MeriStation’s 25th anniversary is celebrated, the GOTY from the house they have been distributed since 2008, that is, for 13 years. Before that date, users had the option to select their favorite video games at the Eme Awards. The situation has changed a lot since then, but not our intention to reward, even through an article, the most outstanding products, those that have made us enjoy the most.
Back to 2008, when we inaugurated this format, Konami published one of the most anticipated PlayStation 3 titles, the one that took the magazine award. We refer to Metal Gear 4: Guns of the Patriots, a work that can currently only be enjoyed on the original console. Since then, numerous video games of very different genres have passed: Dragon Age: Origins, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, God of War, The Last of Us or The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild are some of them.
What have been the video games that have won throughout our history? Without further ado, we leave you with the complete list. But first, you cannot miss this video taken from the archives of MeriStation, almost 15 years later! You can visualize it just below these lines.
