505 Games has announced the release date for Grow: Song of the Evertree, a sandbox-type video game that focuses on world-building and has been developed by Prideful Sloth. The game is scheduled to start next Nov. 16 on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch (the physical edition for the Kyoto Hybrid will be released in February 2022). Of course, it will also be compatible with the new generation machines. This colorful adventure combines elements of life management and world exploration, as explained in the press release.
The context of the story reminds us that the Evertree housed the Worlds of Alaria in its branches, so the beauty spread all along the tree. Time has passed and all these worlds have faded, for the Withered has turned silver into a sapling. Last hopes are pinned on the alchemist Everheart, the only one of his kind. They follow the Yonder philosophy
Players must rebuild and build different worlds: frozen meadows, forests, deserts and tundras hide their own associated fauna and flora. “We loved instilling a sense of peace in our players with Yonder, and we want to continue that feeling with Grow“Said Cheryl Vance, Prideful Sloth Game Designer. “We wanted Alaria to be a place where the player felt welcome. That the worlds they grow, and the cities they build, are unique and personal to them. Make it your own home away from home. “
Users will have the opportunity to explore different places, solve puzzles, create communities, fish, catch insects and interact with other people. Cities are designed using the available “large catalog of structures”, all spiced up by Kevin Penkin’s music (Star Wars: Visions, Florence).
Those who want to try the game can do so thanks to the closed beta. It is now possible to register in this link.
