Three classics in one cartridge. Or so it could have been if the Nintendo Switch version included all three video games on physical media. The website of Target has shown the official box of GTA The Trilogy: The Definitive Edition on the platform of the Kyoto. On the front of the cover you can read that the players they will need to perform a separate download, although it calls to take a look at the rear area – which has been allowed to see us – to know the details.
The Nintendo eShop points out that the space needed to install the three games of GTA Trilogy is 22GB, so in theory it had fit inside a 32GB cartridge. What happens, as the media to which we alluded previously points out, is that Grand Theft Auto: Vice City seems to require a separate download, even if you purchase it in a digital version through the eShop.

The weight of each of the games
According to the Mario store, GTA III occupies 2.2 GB, while GTA: San Andreas has a weight of 10.8 GB. In contrast, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City stays at a measly 119 MB, which in itself suggests a download to complete the installation. At the moment, Rockstar Games has not clarified the question, although it is theorized (and is speculation) with the fact that it has something to do with the licensed soundtrack.
Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy: The Definitive Edition was announced after several leaks that occurred in Rockstar’s own launcher. Few later it was confirmed for Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and PC. It will be released in digital format next November 11th, while the physical edition will be delayed until December 7. The final versions of San Andras and GTA III will be available as part of the Xbox Game Pass and PS Now catalog, respectively.
