Jovenel Moïse was assassinated last Wednesday at the hands of a group of armed individuals who attacked his private residence in the Pelerin neighborhood of Port-au-Prince.

So far, the Haitian authorities have detained 23 people, including 18 former Colombian military personnel and five Haitian-Americans. In addition, precautionary measures have been applied against 24 agents and heads of the presidential security units.

One of the key pieces to clarify the assassination would be the security company CTU Security, based in Miami and directed by the Venezuelan Tony Intriago, who, according to the Haitian investigators, would have recruited the former Colombian soldiers who were part of the armed command.
