Xbox and 343 Industries have confirmed that Halo Infinite will finally arrive worldwide this December 8 for Xbox Series, Xbox One and Windows 10 PC. The long-awaited title, initially planned for 2020, recently ruled out any kind of delay and they ratified their promise: we would play it at Christmas. And so it will be. Gamescom 2021 has been the setting chosen by the North American firm to show a new trailer and some of the main content of the game.
In the video that you can see below, details of the game’s plot are shown, available since the launch of the title, as well as the first season of multiplayer mode. Joseph Staten, head of the project, has confirmed that yes, December 8 is the day chosen for Halo Infinite to be a reality. This is the multiplayer cinematic scene:

After showing its graphic evolution at E3 2021, this Gamescom 2021 helps us to get to know a little more closely a title that faces the last stages of its development before the long-awaited premiere; initially planned for the end of 2020, with the premiere of Xbox Series X | S. This year of margin has allowed the team to work on improving the gaming experience of one of the great emblems of Xbox history.
One of the news that has not sat well with the community comes from the cooperative way and the modo Forge, which will be absent from the game at launch. Season 1 of the title will arrive with the campaign mode and the multiplayer mode (you can see his first 5 maps here) in full; they will not be trimmed versions. It will be in the second season when the cooperative functions are added. Finally, in season 3 the Forge mode will be added.
As for the long-awaited multiplayer mode, the studio in charge of development defines it as “a celebration of Halo.” The goal is for it to be a delivery that does not compromise the future of the series, but remains active for the next ten years, as a platform in constant evolution.
Halo Infinite is coming to Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One and PC this December 8, 2021. It will be available on Xbox Game Pass from day one and with online multiplayer mode totally free under a business model free-to-play; sin loot boxes.
