Horizon Forbidden West will go on sale on February 18, 2022. Guerrilla Games has confirmed that the long-awaited title, the sequel to Aloy for PS5 and PS4, it won’t finally see the light of day at the end of the year, as originally planned. The development studio has worked hard to try to arrive on time for the scheduled date; but it will not be possible. PlayStation Studios’ biggest release will arrive this fiscal year, only after the Christmas period.
Although the game is in the state of progress that they expected by now, they have decided that for the health of the entire team, and with the aim of preserving above all the quality of the final product, delay is the final decision. The Dutch team will use this time to refine all the technical and playability aspects of the work. Before concluding, Guerrilla Games has announced in the voice of its director, Mathijs de Jonge, a patch to play the original Horizon Zero Dawn on PS5 at 60 FPS. It is now available.
Horizon Forbidden West will have a performance mode at 60 FPS on PlayStation 5, thus allowing users who prefer it to opt for the experience at 60 frames per second. Game reservations will begin on September 2, 2021.
A final stretch of the year full of great video games
