With iGaming only recently starting to have become legal across several different states in the U.S., it is not hard to understand why the market has managed to boom as much as it has over the last couple of years.

Indeed, with more states likely to legalize and adopt legislation that will allow for activities such as using online casinos and conducting sports betting to happen in the near future, it is incredible to see just how big the sector has already managed to come.

Operators such as Ballys, BetMGM and Caesars are amongst the biggest firms in the business currently to have already embraced iGaming in a way that has seen them manage to expand their operations and grow alongside the industry, but how have they been able to do this?

Partnerships and bonuses

There is no doubt that the biggest ways in which some of the aforementioned firms mentioned above are through the use of partnerships and bonuses that they continue to offer individuals as an incentive to join them. For instance, some have offered some extremely crazy promotions, like a $200 no deposit bonus with 200 free spins, which can be found when browsing the internet whilst other operators are able to provide other various offers, as well.

Indeed, these crazy bonuses will have been one of the highly successful promotional tactics that would have been utilized, as bettors will have clamored amid the excitement of iGaming becoming legal within the state in which they reside.

However, the fact that operators such as BetMGM and Caesars were able to build partnerships with some of America’s professional major sports leagues will have helped them to capitalize on the market opportunities presented, as they would be able to have acquired a large amount of exposure.

One example would be to take Caesars’ partnership with the NFL. American football is one of the most popular sports in the entire nation, and the operator will have been able to bank on the fact that they are the league’s only official casino and sports betting partner. Naturally, many other organizations have already struck similar partnerships with other major competitions, such as the NHL, MLB, and NBA.

Perhaps one of the other huge reasons that has allowed some of the biggest firms within the U.S. to embrace the iGaming industry as successful as they have already is due to the fact that they have either been or have managed to acquire another business that has extensive experience of working successfully in another country’s market, thus having the knowledge and the experience therefore being able to position themselves in the best possible way.

An example of this would be regarding Caesars Entertainment, as they had announced the acquisition of major British sportsbook William Hill back in April 2021, which will have likely been used to their advantage and help influence the amount of success that they have been able to experience thus far.

Whilst the factors outlined above will have only scratched the surface, there is no doubt that partnerships with sports leagues, acquisitions and casino and sports betting bonuses which are continually made available. These will have provided players with the incentives and perhaps even the drive to sign up and get involved in the first place.
