A man in the state of Texas killed four members of his family, including a child, and then killed himself as police arrived, authorities said Saturday. Corsicana Police Chief Robert Johnson told the Corsicana Daily Sun that overnight a tip was received about a shooting in Corsicana, about 50 miles south of Dallas, and the second shooting was discovered by officers in Frost, about 20 miles west of Corsicana. The suspect was identified as Kevin Milazzo, 41.

Milazzo’s stepfather, 68, and his 61-year-old mother, William, and Connie Mimms respectively, were killed. The other victims were the assailant’s son, Joshua Milazzo, 21, and Hunter Freeman, 4, the son of the killer’s ex-girlfriend.

Two people were also injured in the assault in Corsicana and a third in Frost, Johnson said. Authorities have not released the names of the injured. According to Johnson, officers found the suspect’s vehicle through GPS, and authorities arranged for the surveillance service to turn off the car’s engine. Officers approached the vehicle and found the man inside with a gunshot to the head, apparently self-inflicted, and died at the hospital, according to Johnson.
