Inter Miami has confirmed that midfielder Benjamin Cremaschi’s contract has been extended through the end of 2027, with an option for an additional year. The announcement was made on Monday, marking a significant step for the 19-year-old player who represents both the United States and Argentina.
Cremaschi has already made his debut for the U.S. national team during the Paris Olympics. His contributions in the previous season were vital for Miami as they secured the Leagues Cup, clinching the title for the first time in the club’s history. His performance alongside soccer superstar Lionel Messi has played an important role in the team’s successes.
A product of the Inter Miami youth academy, Cremaschi has made 59 appearances for the MLS club. He has netted six goals and provided nine assists across all competitions, illustrating his value in midfield and his ability to influence games.
Expressing his excitement about the contract renewal, Cremaschi stated, “It feels good to sign this contract, knowing that I will continue at Inter Miami is a great achievement. I am happy to continue representing this city.” His commitment to the club reflects his journey from the youth academy through to Inter Miami CF II before reaching the first team.
The young midfielder emphasized his dedication to hard work for himself and the community. “I’m going to work hard on the pitch for myself and for the people around me, for this city, to be an inspiration for more kids like me,” he added, showcasing his desire to give back to the community that has supported him.
This season, Inter Miami has shown impressive form, currently sitting at the top of the Eastern Conference standings with 62 points. The team features several prominent players, including Luis Suárez, Sergio Busquets, and Jordi Alba, all of whom have contributed to the club’s success.
Cremaschi’s renewal comes at a crucial time as the team aims for the MLS Supporters’ Shield this year. The management and fans alike eagerly anticipate how Cremaschi will continue to develop and contribute as part of this promising squad.
