Tokyo, Nov 30 (EFE) .- The unemployment rate in Japan stood at 2.7% in October, which is one tenth less than the previous month, the Executive reported today.

According to data published this Tuesday by the Ministry of the Interior and Communications, the number of unemployed in Japan in the tenth month of 2021 was 1.82 million people, which means a year-on-year decrease of 320,000 people or 14.9%. .

The number of people with work in the Asian country stood last month at 66.5 million, that is, 350,000 fewer individuals or a decrease of 0.5%, compared to the same month in 2020.

The number of jobs available per 100 looking for work in Japan was 115, which is a reduction compared to 116 in September.

The drop in unemployment in October coincides with the lifting of the state of emergency in Japan and the restrictions applied by the third world economy to contain the virus, which mainly affected the service or restaurant sectors and destroyed a large number of temporary jobs .
