Jason Sudeikis Opens Up About Split from Olivia Wilde
Despite their split in November 2020, Jason Sudeikis doesn’t view the end of his relationship with Olivia Wilde as the “end of something.” The couple, who share two children, are currently embroiled in a custody battle.
Adding Charms to the Bracelet of Life
In an interview with The Observer, the “Ted Lasso” actor compared the end of their relationship to adding experiences to their lives. “I don’t think it’s the end of anything, even though we’ve now added three or four charms to the bracelet of our lives,” he said.
Optimism in the Face of Adversity
Jason also revealed that he tries to maintain an optimistic outlook, much like his football coach character, Ted Lasso. “Until I was faced with being on a plane that was supposed to go down, or a biopsy brought bad news or some other major change in my life or someone near and dear to me, I have no reason not to be as optimistic as the character I’ve been lucky enough to play for the past three years,” he said.
Legal Battle with Former Nanny
Despite their custody battle, Olivia and Jason are standing united against their former nanny. Ericka Genaro claimed they fired her after she applied for stress leave. However, the former couple denies this and claims she quit. They also allege that she threatened to speak to the media about her time as a babysitter. Genaro worked for the actors from 2018 to 2021 and is suing for punitive damages, attorneys’ fees, and costs of the lawsuit.
Moving Forward
The former couple got engaged in 2013 and Wilde went on to date Harry s after their split. Despite the challenges they are currently facing, both Jason Sudeikis and Olivia Wilde are continuing to focus on their careers and raising their children.
