JETT: The Far Shore will go on sale next October 5th from 2021 for PlayStation 4, PS5 and PC consoles (Epic Games Store). The title of the Superbrothers studio, responsible for Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP, has finished its development and will arrive on the PS Store and the Epic Games digital store for PC with the aim of making us feel the sailing in a huge sea of stars of an ocean planet.

The team announced during the Gamescom 2021 Opening Night Live conference that the game is now gold; its development is over. Those who are interested in the title, whose universe, narrative and tone will place us in an interstellar action adventure very different from what we are used to, can now reserve the game with a 20% discount on PS Store and Epic Games; 19.99 euros for users subscribed to PS Store; 24.99 euros for the rest of the players.

What is JETT: The Far Shore about?

As explained Patrick McAllister, co-creator of the title on PlayStation Blog, “Jett tells a staggered cinematic story, with walking segments where you can soak up the atmosphere of the space and talk to people, even your fellow Jett scouts, while putting together the pieces of a story that is sometimes warm and intimate, other times terribly terrifying and occasionally spectacular ”.

When we are not walking we will control a Jett that flies very low. We will have to work with our fellow Jett scouts and use scientific tools to unravel the mysteries of this unknown planet. The main focus of the story will focus little by little, as we expand its world and become familiar with its rhythm of play. They promise that the tone and music will be evocative.

Development of Jett started long before Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP, reveals the study. “We discovered some resonance and soon began to discuss concepts related to low-flying jets that leave trails zigzagging through natural landscapes.” Both he and his partner and creative director of the studio, Craig D. Adams, they knew they had to make such a game, inspired by works like ICO or Shadow of the Colossus, by Fumito Ueda.
