Joe Rogan Enthusiastically Praises Harris’s Debate Performance Against Trump

Podcaster Joe Rogan, known for featuring a diverse array of guests including voices from the right, recently offered surprising accolades for Vice President Kamala Harris’s campaign and her performance in the recent debate against Donald Trump. In an episode released on Monday, following the debate, Rogan expressed his admiration, stating, “Whoever’s helping her, whoever’s coaching her, whoever’s the puppet master running the strings—you did a f***ing amazing job.”

He continued by crediting the team’s efforts following President Biden’s withdrawal from the race, remarking, “Whatever they’re doing, whoever’s writing those speeches, getting her to deliver them, coaching her, she’s nailing it.” Rogan made these comments during an episode with comedian Tom Segura, discussing the nuances of the debate.

Rogan went on to liken Harris’s performance to that of a skilled martial artist who effectively knows how to corner her opponent. He pointed out that Trump seemed inadequately prepared, drawing attention to his previous rants about crowd sizes and racially charged conspiracy theories regarding Haitians in Ohio. “He’s not working with a team,” Rogan noted, recognizing the efforts of Harris’s campaign. “I know he’s doing mock debates. He did one with Tulsi Gabbard. Someone needs to tell him, you’ve got these tiny little windows, and you should have all the words ready for those windows. There should be no repeating things.”

With an impressive audience of at least 14 million listeners, Rogan further discussed Trump’s stage presence, describing him as “funny like a comic,” but cautioned that humor isn’t a quality all voters seek in a presidential candidate. “We don’t necessarily want that as the guy with his finger on the button, that’s all it is,” he added. “That’s the thing that freaks people out.”

The Independent reached out to the Trump campaign for a response regarding Rogan’s comments.

Looking towards the 2024 election, Rogan has also expressed admiration for Robert F. Kennedy Jr., although he clarified that it was not a formal endorsement. This praise prompted a reaction from Trump, who took to Truth Social in August to mock Rogan, wondering about the possible backlash the podcaster might face the next time he appears at a UFC event.

In the lead-up to the 2020 election, Rogan suggested he would likely vote for Bernie Sanders but later indicated a preference for Trump over Biden. In recent debates, snap polls indicated voters perceived Harris as the debate winner, maintaining a lead of nearly three percentage points in national poll averages.

Insiders revealed that Trump had reportedly invested more effort into preparing for the Harris debate compared to his earlier confrontation with Biden, which left many shocked after his lackluster performance. Despite this, Trump contended that the debate was “rigged” but still claimed victory.

On Fox News, Trump expressed his reluctance about the prospect of a rematch with Harris, asserting, “I’d be less inclined to because we had a great night. We won the debate. We had a terrible network.” He dismissed the idea of a rematch, saying, “They lost very badly, the first thing they did is ask for a debate. They always ask for a rematch.”

As the 2024 election approaches, the dynamics of the debates and the candidates’ performances will continue to shape the political landscape, with Rogan’s unexpected commentary potentially influencing public perceptions.
