John Wick Franchise to Expand with Fifth Installment Confirmed for Coming Years

The John Wick franchise is expanding even further as Lionsgate studio confirmed the development of the fifth installment alongside two spin-offs. The Continental, based on the hotel that serves as a meeting point for the murderers in this story, and Ballerina, featuring one of the dancers from John Wick 3: Parabellum, played by Ana de Armas. Joe Drake, one of the top executives at Lionsgate, said they are developing three other projects, including John Wick 5 and the television series, The Continental.

While the frequency of release for these projects is still being studied, the production studio is dedicated to continuing the expansion of this universe of killers in both series and films for years to come. Joe Drake said, “we’re building that world and when those movies come, it’s going to be organic, it’s going to build organically out of how we start telling those stories. You can trust a regular John Wick cadence.”

Meanwhile, Keanu Reeves revealed that John Wick: Chapter 4 will take things to the next level. The fourth installment was shot in various locations, including Japan, Jordan, Germany, and France. The actor described his latest role as the toughest in his career, with demanding stunts and driving. After finishing the scenes, he gifted the stunt team with a Rolex watch worth $10,000, with the engravement “The John Wick Five.”

Fans of the John Wick universe can expect to be treated to many more stories of the best contract killer in the world in the coming years.
