In the scandal of the trial between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard , the actor is testifying about what happened on the wedding day. Depp and Heard were married in February 2015 in a very intimate ceremony on Johnny’s private island in the Bahamas. There were between 20 and 25 people invited, but the actor’s eldest daughter was missing, Lily-Rose Depp. In his account in court, the actor revealed the reason why his own daughter did not attend the wedding. At the time, Lily was just 15 years old.

“My daughter Lily-Rose didn’t attend the wedding. She and Ms. Heard were not on good terms, for various reasons,” the actor said at trial. He also explained that at the time Lily sent a message to Amber telling her that she didn’t like how she treated her dad. This was all the actress said and Chanel model about Heard.

Johnny is currently testifying at the trial in which he is suing Heard for defamation. So now it was the turn to recount what happened during his wedding to the Aquaman actress. During the testimony he said that his daughter, Lily-Rose, and Amber were not on good terms and after that he added that even Lily wrote and sent a letter to Heard when they ended the relationship in the midst of the abuse scandal, however, the court did not allow the actor to explicitly tell what Lily wrote in that letter.

Another of the comments that stood out in the story was the consumption of drugs at the wedding. Depp also told the courtroom that Heard and his “gang” of friends used drugs at their wedding reception of a “common MDMA bag,” and that there was a schedule for the day’s festivities that read, “Dinner, dancing, and drugs.” Depp, meanwhile, said he smoked marijuana, his “drug of choice,” she recalled. “I smoked marijuana. And, uh, I don’t remember drinking. I don’t remember I was drinking then. … I’m pretty sure at the time I wasn’t drinking alcohol,” he said.

At the time of the wedding, Lily was 15 years old, while during the couple’s breakup she was around 16. The contents of that letter from Lily-Rose to Amber will probably be discussed in court in the coming days.

The actor is suing his ex-wife Amber Heard for alleged defamation over an op-ed he wrote for The Washington Post in 2018, in which he does not name Depp but describes herself as “a public figure representing domestic abuse.” It has asked for $50 million in damages.
