Maximum Expectation to See Ana Obregón at Madrid Book Fair
This Sunday, the Madrid Book Fair attendees have the chance to meet the renowned presenter Ana Obregón. From twelve noon to three in the afternoon, Ana will be at booth 82 of Harper Collins publishing house located in Retiro Park. She will be signing copies of El chico de las musarañas, the novel that her son began writing before his untimely death, and which Ana finished.
To avoid crowds, tickets will be given to attendees on the basis of first come, first served. According to the official website of the event, Ana will sign only 150 copies, so attendees should show up early.
Another author who will follow the same method is Javier Castillo, who is known for his popular mystery thriller The Snow Girl.
Ana Obregón Dressed to Impress
Ana Obregón has chosen to wear a beautiful long fuchsia dress with floral embroidery for this special occasion. She has paired it with patent leather ballet flats. Ana stopped wearing black and white clothing after the birth of her daughter Anita. This was a significant change, indicating her departure from mourning and pain, after the death of her firstborn. She arrived at the event accompanied by her friend and right hand Susana Urribarri.

El chico de las musarañas is not just any book. It is unique because it was created by a struggling mother and a cancer patient. The story is narrated by Ana and her son Alessandro Lequio. Through its pages, Aless wanted to explore his creative side while sharing his experience as a cancer patient. Ana narrated her story of being a mother, tirelessly caring for her son in his diagnosis and illness, and her mourning after his passing.
The money generated from the sale of this book is entirely for the Aless Lequio Foundation. The charity is dedicated to funding scientific research against cancer, which helps find new cures to treat this disease.
Alessandro Lequio’s Legacy Lives On
The boy with the shrews is already in its fourth edition and has been successful in bookstores. The book was officially presented at the Westin Palace Hotel in Madrid, and the biologist was overwhelmed with gratitude. Ana Obregón spoke at the event and said, “I am very excited for my son. I hope he is happy wherever he is. There is no greater tragedy than losing a child, but in every tragedy, there is always a ray of light, and that is what has kept me standing.”
Furthermore, this is the second public appearance that Ana has made since returning from the United States with little Ana Sandra. As exclusively announced in HELLO!, Ana has a biological daughter named Ana Sandra, who was born through surrogacy in Miami. The little girl has brought joy back into Ana’s life, and Alessandro’s legacy continues to live on through her.
