Does more and better translate into higher sales? Not if we take as an example Jurassic World Evolution 2, the sequel to the park management game in which the peculiarity is that there are dinosaurs. Frontier Developments has recognized that the PC version has sold below expectations, at least for now. Instead, the numbers on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S seem more in line with what they had anticipated.
Still, the studio maintains confidence in the product and is confident that this second part will sell more than the first installment in its first year since its launch. “Criticism and audience reception since its launch has been very positive, thanks to the hard work of our talented people,” they say in the report. “The gaming community is enjoying the improvements we have madeas well as new content introduced, which has been built on the solid foundations of Jurassic World Evolution.

Too many crowded games
Frontier Developments collects the criticism from Opencritic and highlights that the average score reached is 80 out of 100. The reservations on all platforms are similar to those of the first game. “However, sales during the initial period following launch have been lower on PC. We believe the potential reason is the short-term effect of a more crowded launch window ”, with numerous new video games.
Sales expectations focus your attention on the time that is about to arrive, the Christmas. It is at this moment that they believe that the numbers will leap forward. Be that as it may, Jurassic World Evolution 2 will be the company’s most powerful product during the current fiscal year, until May 2022.
The video game is available on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, PS4, and PS5.
