Kate Middleton, 39, will once again step into a united front to help the royal brothers, the prince William, also 39, and the prince harry, 36, to iron out his rough edges during the inauguration of the statue in honor of the late Princess Diana. The Duchess of Cambridge reportedly agreed to attend the ceremony at Kensington Palace on July 1.
A source told UK’s The Daily Mail that Kate had seen the project from the start and would want to be there to support her husband and father of their three children. The new report comes as it was claimed that the Duke of Cambridge did not have a conversation with the Duke of Sussex after Prince Philip’s funeral in April because they feared details would be leaked to the press.
Royal historian Robert Lacey noted this week that the conversation did not take place because the Cambrians were concerned that their comments would be delivered by Harry and Meghan to the American media. William and Harry have barely spoken in recent months, but have called for a truce before the unveiling of Diana’s statue, on what would have been her 60th birthday.
The three are said to be talking together about the Princess of Wales. Harry and William will make separate speeches amid the tribute to their mother’s legacy. They will also thank sculptor Ian Rank-Broadley for creating the statue, which has been in progress since 2017. Prince Charles, father of Harry and William, will not be present at the memorial service for his ex-wife.
With Harry close to the UK arrival, royal expert Duncan Larcombe told Closer that “there are strong reasons to believe that Archie will be with him. I think the arrival of Archie would be a great diffuser of the situation. And the decision to bring it in could be the first sign of guilt on Harry’s part. He also indicated that “bringing Archie back would be an olive branch of some kind, a definite sign that he is seeking to tell the truth about what happened recently.”
