Kelly Clarkson Wants to Change her to Kelly Brianne

The singer-songwriter and talk show host filed papers requesting her name change to Kelly Brianne.

According to US Weekly, Clarkson wrote in those documents that he wants to adjust his name because it reflects who he really is now.

The hearing to define the application is scheduled for March 28, meanwhile, the host of ‘The Kelly Clarkson Show’, 39, is reaching agreements with her ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock, regarding their Montana ranch, which had been a sticking point in their divorce process.

The ‘Stronger’ singer agreed to give the 45-year-old talent manager 5.12% of the property, equivalent to $908,800 of her total value of $17,750,000, according to court documents obtained by People magazine.

The documents also make clear that Blackstock has no interest in the property adjacent to the ranch that Clarkson owns exclusively.

Blackstock had previously argued that the house was “marital property,” and continued to live there even after he and Clarkson separated in 2020.

In July, the ‘The Voice’ coach was ordered to pay her ex-husband and former manager $200,000 a month in spousal and child support, though a source previously told People that Blackstock had asked for $436,000 a month.

Clarkson was officially declared single in August, when a judge signed the legal dissolution of her marriage to Blackstock a year and three months after she filed for divorce.

The star had asked the judge to declare her legally divorced in July, arguing that both she and her ex “deserve the opportunity to build a new life.”

Clarkson won primary custody of his sons River Rose, 7, and Remington Alexander, 5, in November.
