Last fall, it was revealed that Kim Kardashian would keep the Axel Vervoodt-designed San Fernando Valley home that she, Kanye West, and their children shared following their divorce from the rapper. Now, the founder of beauty firm KKW is putting more roots in the Hidden Hills enclave. According to Dirt, the artist and entrepreneur just bought a house adjacent to the Vervoordt-designed property for $6.3 million.

The four-bedroom, three-bathroom home will no doubt need some renovations before conforming to Kim Kardashian’s minimalist standards. Built in 1975 and owned by the same family ever since the 394-square-meter house is more or less aligned to the standards of the ’70s: the living room has mirrored walls, a green-carpeted staircase, and a rather garish wrought iron railing. It can be assumed that the rest of the house is also in a preserved but outdated state, but only the living room and dining room appear in the photos. Much of the vegetation in outer space looks dead, but with half a hectare, there is plenty of space to make good use of after a transformation.

In 2019, Kardashian and West bought two other Hidden Hills properties, so this additional property supposedly leaves Kardashian with nearly 3.5 acres of space in the Hidden Hills neighborhood. Although the most recent addition is just behind the main residence, which AD toured in 2020, there is a community bridle path separating the two, so it looks like completely merging the two land properties will be a challenge, if at all. Still, owning the neighboring land will provide Kardashian and her children — North, 8; Saint, 6; Chicago, 4, and Psalm, 3—valuable privacy.
