That the launch of eFootball 2022 has not been the dream is obvious. In a few hours, the Internet has been filled with memes, but also with acid comments against the game. In fact, it has become the lowest rated title in Steam history. Faced with this situation, Konami has reacted by publishing a official statement. They apologize for the problems and assure that they are working on an update scheduled for October, which will be made based on the feedback received.
“After the launch of eFootball 2022, we have received a lot of feedback and requests about the balance of the game ”, they explain. This includes both “passing speed” and the defense system. “We also want to underline that there have been warnings about the problems that users have experienced with the cutscenes, the movements of the players and with the behavior of the ball. We apologize for the errors ”, they point out.
They promise constant improvements
According to Konami, they want to “guarantee” consumers that they are going to take all these problems very seriously, so they will work to turn this situation around. “This work will be continually updated, the quality will improve and the content will be constantly added.” Starting next week, they will prepare to put together an update, which will be published in October. Through a survey, they will gather information on all the errors.
They say goodbye, stressing that they will do everything they can to satisfy the largest number of players possible. “We hope you continue to support eFootball 2022,” they conclude.
Unlike the rest of the titles in the saga, eFootball 2022 has become a video game free-to-play, which means that it will be accessible to all, but that it will be expanded with both free and paid content. The next big content update was scheduled for November 2021 and they have not altered their plans in principle. The game is available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, PC, and iOS and Android mobile devices.
