Lana Del Rey & Quavo Get Cozy in Intimate ‘Tough’ Video in the Countryside

Lana Del Rey and Quavo’s captivating country-trap collaboration “Tough” has finally arrived. The much-awaited single was released at noon ET on Wednesday (June 3), just in time to become the ultimate soundtrack for this year’s Independence Day festivities.

“Tough like the scarf on a pair of old leather boots/ Like the blue-collar, red-dirt attitude/ Like a .38 made out of brass,” Lana beautifully sings on the dreamy chorus.

Alongside the single, a mesmerizing visual was also released, depicting Huncho and Lana Del Rey enjoying intimate moments in a serene countryside, far from the hustle and bustle of civilization. The pair is seen cuddling in lush grass fields, with Lana strumming her guitar. At one point, she leans in for a kiss but teasingly pulls back. Quavo gets increasingly comfortable, and the duo rides across the rugged terrain in his Chevy. In another scene, Quavo demonstrates his shooting skills with a shotgun, offering Lana some impromptu lessons in aim.

“I’ll show you around … Come take a ride with me. Whenever. Whenever you ready, call on me,” Quavo’s inviting lines perfectly wrap up the euphoric duet.

The collaboration rumors gained momentum back in May when Quavo and Lana were seen hanging out at his V12 sports bar in Atlanta. The sighting sparked speculation about an upcoming joint project.

The confirmation came last month when they unveiled “Tough” during a live preview at Lana Del Rey’s Fenway Park concert in Boston. Quavo made a surprise appearance, cementing the beginning of this fascinating musical partnership.

Lana has hinted at exploring a full-country album titled Lasso, expanding her musical horizons. Meanwhile, Quavo has kept his fans engaged with a series of singles this year, including the track “Mink.”

The video for “Tough,” directed by Wyatt Spain Winfrey, is now available for viewing, showcasing the palpable chemistry between the two artists against the backdrop of picturesque countryside scenes.
