Lewis Hamilton Dreams of Space Travel
Lewis Hamilton, a seven-time Formula 1 champion, has expressed his desire to travel to space. And he’s not content with just being a passenger; he wants to be part of the crew. He has even spoken to his friend, controversial tech billionaire Elon Musk, founder of SpaceX, about the possibility. Hamilton has acknowledged that he feels very self-conscious during his talks with such a versatile businessman, whom he has praised for his “extensive mind” and ambition when it comes to transforming social and technological reality.
Safety First
Despite his excitement, Hamilton wants to ensure he is safe when the technology is one hundred percent safe. He joked, “I’ll travel at some point. But I’m going to let other people go first because those things can explode suddenly on the way to space.”
Hamilton’s Ultimate Dream
The British pilot has made it clear that the most exciting part of the experience for him would be getting behind the wheel of the vehicle. “He has said that he wants to go to Mars, but I would not care if I go to one place or another. What I have told him is that I would love to drive, but I think it is all automated,” he joked.
Working the Room
Hamilton and Musk have grown closer over the last two years, with Musk attending Hamilton’s parties in Austin. Talking to Musk is not an easy feat for Hamilton, as he acknowledges his extensive mind puts him on another level. “I have asked him if the man really stepped on the moon and what are the next objectives,” he reveals.
Hamilton is a man of adventure, and this time he’s got his sights set on space. We can only wait and see what’s next for the daring driver.
