A few weeks after the launch of Life is Strange: True Colors, the new installment of Square Enix’s well-known narrative adventure, the studio has shown the gameplay for the first time in several videos. After watching the initial 15 minutes, GamesRadar has released new gameplay sequences, all within the framework of Gamescom 2021, the most important European fair dedicated to video games.
This particular trailer belongs to episode 2, a moment in history in which Alex, the protagonist of the adventure, uses her powers to help a woman in need. As in all the titles of the Life is Strange saga, powers are crucial within the gameplay and the plot. On this occasion, the character is able to observe and manipulate the emotions of the characters, which are reflected on the screen through a color system.

Haven Springs hides something
Alex Chen returns to Haven Springs, an apparently idyllic town that hides a terrible secret. His lost brother is looking for his father, who disappeared years ago. Still, the boy dies in strange circumstances. It is said to be an accident, but the clues seem to indicate that something worse.
Deck Nine Games takes the baton from Dontnod Entertainment, the French studio that designed the first two games in the series. The Americans also commissioned Life is Strange: Before the Storm, the prequel to the original, which will also be present in the remastered version that is currently in development.
Life is Strange: True Colors is going on sale next September, 10th on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, PC, and Google Stadia. The Nintendo Switch version is still running, but has been delayed to an unspecified date yet. Of course, Deck Nine maintains that it will be marketed throughout this year 2021.
