The President of El Salvador, Nayib Bukele, makes his speech at the 76th Ordinary Period of Sessions of the United Nations General Assembly, in New York.
It is the third speech offered by the Salvadoran president since he came to the Executive; his first participation, in 2019, is remembered for the ‘selfie’ that was taken on the podium of the UN headquarters. This year, as in 2020, his intervention is through a prerecorded message and it occurs in the midst of the political tension that his country is experiencing, due to the launch of bitcoin as the official currency and the changes that the Legislative Assembly, majority official, has done in the Judiciary and in some regulations.
