The Marvel Cinematic Universe has many stories up its sleeve. “Loki” has closed the broadcast of its first season with important revelations about the workings of the multiverses.

Basically, it was revealed that Kang the Conqueror was the dictator who commanded to eliminate time dissidents (all those who strayed from their original timeline). His goal was to avoid a war of the multiverses.

Loki and Sylvie came to the ‘End of Time’ to meet this character and presumably eliminate him. However, the protagonist wonders if this death could cause the breaking of time and possibly unleash something worse than the current one.

After several minutes of fighting, Loki manages to stop Sylvie only to tell her through tears that he wanted the best for her. That’s when the expected kiss is given. Something that has been questioned as ‘incestuous’.

But it is about Loki falling in love with himself, so it is not really known what kind of filia it would be. Kate Herron spoke about it:

“My interpretation is that both are Lokis, but they are not the same person,” said the director in an interview with the media. . “I don’t see them as a brother and sister. They have completely different origins […] and I think that’s really important to his character. They have the same role in terms of the universe and destiny, but they won not make the same decisions ”, he concludes.

Kate Herron, the director, clarified some issues about this ending that left many questions:

“So the way I see it in my head is that TVA exists outside of space and time. But the reality and everything as we understood it has completely changed in the last minutes. With the multiverse branching out, how do we know that TVA still exists that way? We don’t know, and I suppose it’s a great question that will be answered as the series progresses. But in my head, the intention is that Sylvie thinks she’s sending him back to TVA, but due to the way time and branches intersect outside the window, Loki has unfortunately been sent to a very different place. So the reality has changed only because of the nature of what El Que Permanece said, and the idea is that he is in this alternative TVA now ”.
