Maduro calls on Military Aviation to be alert to the possible violation of airspace by “criminals” and “drug traffickers”

The president of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, appealed this Saturday to the officers of the Bolivarian Military Aviation (AMB) to always remain alert to “criminals”, “terrorists” and “drug traffickers” who violate Venezuelan airspace.

Within the framework of 101st anniversary of the WBA, the president highlighted in a recorded message and broadcast by the state television channel that the role of the institution is to maintain military “pride and dignity”, being “peace guarantor” and being “prepared 24 hours a day for the defense of sovereignty and national independence.”

At the same time, he recalled that November 27, 1992 was consecrated as Bolivarian Aviation Day in honor of the “admirable feat of patriotic history” of those who rebelled “against the liberal regime”, and congratulated the “women and men defenders of the airspace and of territorial peace “.

The president also emphasized the government’s commitment to the technological renewal of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB), whose “perfect unity”, he said, “nothing and no one can ever violate.” “Never again will our FANB be subordinate to imperialist, oligarchic interests, or to any interest other than that of our beloved homeland,” he said.

“Nothing will stop us on that path, no blockade, no sanctions, no threats. Nothing will ever stop us and, despite the punishment that the imperialists imposed on our people, the Venezuelan people with their Armed Forces are standing, determined to be free and sovereign, “he said.
